CentraCare in Willmar, Minnesota is hiring an Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) in our Pediatrics department. As an APP at CentraCare, you will be an interdependent member of the primary health care team who works independently and in collaboration with Pediatric physicians. You will have the opportunity to provide direct, high-quality patient care services requiring extensive skills and competency. The Pediatrics department works closely with our Family Medicine Department and the Urgent Care Department.

This position is open to new graduates with relevant experience in work history.

Schedule

  • .8 - 1.0 FTE
  • Monday through Friday standard clinic outpatient clinic hours, with variation as needed in a professional position
  • Weekend Urgent Care rotation limited number of weekends per year (3 to 4)
  • No call requirements or holiday rotations

Responsibilities

As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with the Carris Health Pediatrics team, the practice includes but is not limited to:

  • Well child checks
  • Acute care
  • Asthma and other chronic conditions
  • Circumcisions
  • Depression
  • Sports physicals

Requirements

Eligibility for the position entails:

  • Completion of a formal nurse practitioner or physician assistant program approved by a national accrediting agency
  • Certified as a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant
  • Current or pending licensure in the State of Minnesota
  • BLS Certification

All applicants must have a current American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider card and Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration number prior to receiving clinical privileges.
