Functions as a mental health provider to the inmates by performing initial and ongoing psychiatric assessments; Prescribes appropriate medication and/or mechanical measures to assist inmates to improve behaviors; Assists with preparation and modification of treatment plans and recommend and assign to appropriate programs; Provides supervision to psychiatric providers at the institution.Minimum QualificationsGraduate from an accredited medical school. Completion of an approved psychiatric residency programLicensed to practice medicine in the state of Virginia; M.D./D.
