A nonprofit services organization in New York City is actively seeking a licensedOccupational Therapist (OT) to join their team at one of their preschools in Queens. In this role, theOccupational Therapist (OT) will be responsible for helping students access the academic environment and participate to the maximum extent possible in educationally related activities.
About the Opportunity:
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: 8am to 2pm (30 minutes of paid note taking onsite)
Setting: Preschool
Age Range: 3 to 5 years old
Responsibilities:
TheOccupational Therapist (OT) will be responsible for:
Providingthe best possible quality care to all students
Evaluating and treating students with disabilities
Maintaining daily progress and attendance records
Writing progress reports
Attending IEP meeting
Recommending adaptive equipment, environmental accommodations or assistive technology
Perform other assigned duties, as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree inOccupational Therapy (New graduates encouraged to apply!)
NYS Occupational Therapist (OT) license
Desired Skills:
Experience working with the Pediatric population
Experience working with people dealing with Developmental Disabilities
