Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse works under the supervision of the Nursing Supervisor Manager and is responsible for providing nursing care for acutely ill patients. The RN performs assigned procedures that are within the scope of practice as set forth by the Iowa State Board of Nursing. Regular attendance is an essential function of this job. The RN will float from department to department that they have been oriented to.

Minimum Qualifications:

Demonstrate the ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate age appropriate nursing care per ORCH
policy/procedure and by meeting regulatory expectations from the Joint Commission and Center for
Medicare/Medicaid.

Graduate of a program of Registered Nursing.

Prefer prior Registered Nursing experience in one or more of the following service lines:
Medical/Surgical/Telemetry, Intensive Care, Emergency Department nursing, but not required.

Current Iowa Registered Nurse License or compact state nursing license giving the ability to practice In Iowa.
Current BCLS verification
ACLS verification within 6 months of hire if covering Emergency Department and/or Intensive Care Unit.
PALS verification within 6 months of hire if covering Emergency Department.
