Full Time Outpatient Opportunity for a PA or APRN

Practice Summary:

AdventHealth Neurology in Orlando is in search of a neurology advanced practice provider to provide care to our diverse patient population. The ideal candidate would have some sort of exposure to Neurology whether as an RN or having experience with a provider.

General Summary:

The APRN or PA-C, under the supervision of the Physician(s), who acts as the collaborative practitioner, is responsible for:

Performing history, physical examinations as needed and monitors neurology patients in the clinic setting: established patients and deep brain stimulation programming for tremor, Parkinson disease and dystonia (Training would be provided)

Ordering and interpreting appropriate diagnostic tests

Seeing patients with the following list of conditions: Parkinsons Disease, Gait disorder, Tremors, Lewy Body Disease, Dystonia, Hemifacial Spasm, Dyskinesia, essential tremor, etc.

Performing DBS titration Collaborating with physician and staff as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff.

Displaying a caring and professional attitude at all times as well as maintaining personal and professional growth

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, patients, and the public.

Schedule Details:

Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM, Out-patient only

Knowledge and Skills Required:

Team player

Strong communication skills

Education and Experience Required:

Masters degree in nursing (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) Studies

2-4 years of experience as a provider in Neurology required.

Experience performing DBS titrations (preferred - but we will provide training)

Licensure, Certification, and Registration:

Masters degree in nursing (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) Studies

Current, valid Florida APRN or PA license

Certification through the ANCC, AANP or NCCPA (or equivalent certification body)

Current BLS required.
