Coordinator, Diversity CMS
Position Summary The Office of Academic Learning Environment (ALE) at Chicago Medical School seeks to hire a Coordinator for Diversity Programs. The Coordinator will assist ALE faculty in developing programs that engage the CMS community.
They will provide support and be responsible for the coordination of Diversity and Outreach programs. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Diversity program:. Work closely with the Assistant Dean of Diversity and Inclusion to coordinate and execute planning and logistics for all CMS Diversity programming, including special events, invited speakers, and spotlight campaigns..
Administer Diversity program related surveys, including reporting and tracking of the success of these programs for the Diversity Advisory Council..
Coordinate and expand efforts with the local National Medical Association and Medical Organization for Latino Advancement chapters for mentorship opportunities for M3 and M4 students..
Assist in grant management as needed, including organization of receipts and invoices, reporting on expenses, coordinating information from multiple areas to provide to the Assistant Dean of Diversity and Inclusion.
Outreach and Success program:. Work closely with the Director of Diversity, Outreach, and Success to provide program support for the Individualized Strategic Enhancement Program (ISEP)..
Gather and organize confidential Underrepresented in Medicine (UiM) student performance data..
Coordinate all administrative processes and procedures for the ISEP program, including managing student applications, maintaining student files, recruiting faculty mentors, and hosting twice monthly mentor meetings..
Assist mentors and mentees with scheduling monthly one-on-one meetings. Outreach and Equity program:.
Work closely with the Director of Outreach and Equity to plan and coordinate the Mini-Medical School Program and Parent-Teacher Outreach Program. Other duties as assigned Required Education & Experience. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related experience.
Three to five years of experience working in an administrative setting. Customer/Student service experience. Must achieve satisfactory results from a background check Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities.
Proficient with technology including Zoom, MS Office, Google Suite, etc. Preferred Qualifications. Effective problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Proficient written and oral communication skills. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as a member of a team.
