Join Our Team: Hematology Oncologist Opportunity in Eastern North Carolina

We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible fellowship-trained Hematology Oncologist to join their growing Hematology Oncology program. We encourage applications from new graduates and Visa holders.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to have a sub-specialty clinical focus at Health Cancer Care s location in Greenville, North Carolina. Additionally, community-based oncology care will be provided at regional cancer clinics within the Health network of care.

Health Cancer Care is eastern North Carolina s leader in comprehensive oncology care with locations across a 29-county service area.

Highlights:

• Employment by Health Physicians
• Close collaboration with the Health Hematology Oncology team and direct patient care for Health Cancer Care locations throughout the eastern North Carolina region
• Monday-Friday 8 am-5 pm schedule
• Shared call
• Inpatient and outpatient clinical responsibilities including: developing treatment plans for new diagnosis in hematology oncology patients, chemotherapy oversight, supervising advance practice provider on follow-up patients, and participating in tumor board
• Participation in a 9-hospital system of cancer care with 5 COC accredited sites sharing a common medical record and planned COC Network status in 2020
• Close collaboration with the Health Cancer Care team which includes a multidisciplinary team of specialists including radiation oncologists, hematology oncologists, surgical oncologists, gynecologic oncologist, neurological oncologist, hematology oncology fellows, and patient navigators
• State-of-the-art equipment including a Gamma Knife, a Cyber Knife, Trubeam Linear Accelerators, 3D Mammography, 3 MT MRI, Ultrasound, and a full spectrum of radiology services
• Established clinical trials program through Health and School of Medicine; Members Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology
