Compensation/Benefits

Our 3 Northeast team provides oncology/palliative care to adult populations with a wide variety of complex medical conditions. We focus our efforts on restoring optimal physical and mental well-being in each unique situation with a constant goal of maintaining a safe and supportive environment for our patients. Our unit consists of 18 medical/surgical telemetry beds and provides occassional chemotherapy, as well as palliative specific care. We are looking for a high-energy Nurse Resident with excellent communication skills to join our team of healers!

Responsibilities:
  • Upon completion of an accredited nursing program and under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, provides general nursing care and coordinates patient care through the life span for all patients.
Qualifications:

Education

  • Provide documentation of completion of a program of registered nursing and eligibility to write the licensure examination in Oklahoma.
  • The graduate may continue to be employed in a Nurse Resident role until licensed, provided that the first licensure examination is taken within 90 days after graduation and the examination is passed within 6 months of graduation, on either the first or the second attempt.
  • If the examination is failed after the second attempt, the Nurse Resident can no longer remain in the Nurse Resident position.
  • Graduates of registered nursing program with concurrent LPN license will also be placed in Nurse Resident role.

Experience

  • Completion of an accredited nursing program.

(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).

Licensure/Certification

  • Active Oklahoma LPN license or active Multistate LPN/LVN license, if applicable.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
  • Complete the 1 yr Vizient Nurse Residency Program.
