The successful candidate must be:

  • BE/BC and Fellowship trained in Vascular Surgery.
  • Up to date skills and knowledge across the entire spectrum of modern vascular surgery including: endovascular, percutaneous interventional, minimally invasive and open vascular procedures for both elective and emergent indications in a Level 1 trauma center academic teaching hospital, as well as in the outpatient and clinic setting
  • Able to exhibit: Interpretation of non-invasive vascular studies with at least an RPVI qualification & have exemplary clinical skills, a team spirit, collegiality and an interest in teaching general surgery residents and medical students.

Major/Essential Functions

  • Provide Quality Healthcare Services to patients assigned to the Vascular Division in an outpatient and inpatient setting.
  • Provide medical record documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Provide necessary billing information as requested according to department and institutional guidelines.
  • Oversee nursing staff, medical students, and resident physicians during patient interactions.
  • Participate in active surgical research with medical students and resident physicians.
  • Participate in hospital Vascular call coverage.
  • Prepare and deliver lectures to medical students and resident physicians.
  • Participate in all department conferences/meetings.
  • Adhere to institutional and departmental safety policies and procedures.
