Trinity Health IHA Medical Group has an excellent employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatry physician to serve as teaching faculty for the Psychiatry Residency program located in Livonia, Michigan.

The Department of Behavioral Medicine is seeking a full-time Psychiatrist interested in providing direction and leadership within the Residency program. The ideal candidates will be interested in providing excellent patient care and education of Residents in a supportive and collegial atmosphere.

This opportunity offers an environment that can provide physicians with diversity and balance in their clinical work with resident education, individual patient care, scholarly activity, faculty development, and quality improvement. Clinical settings include outpatient services, inpatient Mental Health Unit (MHU) and Psychiatric Emergency Service (PES). Priority for new faculty pertains primarily to the inpatient unit and hospital services, with potential opportunity in other areas, depending on the interest, skill, and experience of the candidate.

The call schedule for this opportunity includes one weekend every four to six weeks supervising clinical rounds with the Residents in the hospital services - MHU, CL and PES, as well as three to four nights a month of telephone back-up call for the in-house Residents.

New graduates and experienced physicians will be considered for this opportunity.
