The successful candidateshould be able to perform ALL of the following functions at a paceand level of performance consistent with the actual job performancerequirements.

1. Apply appropriate nursing skillsin the area and treatment ofinmates/residents.
Attend sick call withthe physician to see inmates/residents; prepare a list ofinmates/residents to be examined; prepare examining room andequipment
2. Examine and assess newinmates/residents with illnesses or injuries or inmates/residentswho become ill or injured; refer inmates/residents to the emergencyroom or other appropriate healthcare facilities as required bytheir condition.
Perform emergencyprocedures as needed and notify Licensed Independent Provider fortreatment orders. Provide guidance,supervise and monitor nursing care provided by licensedvocational/practical nursing staff and non-licensed medicalstaff.

Qualifications:

Graduate from an accreditedcollege, university or nursing program with a degree/diploma innursing.

Must possess current licensure in the state ofemployment.

One(1) year of professional nursing experiencepreferred.

Avalid driver's license isrequired.

Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 20 years ofage.
