Lead Hospitalist - Southern OR. Must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a Hospitalist and also administrative experience.

As the lead hospitalist, you will lead a group of about 12 physicians and 2 mid-level providers. Our hospitalist physicians typically see between 10 and 15 patients a day. Four physicians work a 12-hour shift, one physician covers an additional 8-hour admission shift, and one physician covers a 12-hour night shift.

Youll spend about three quarters of your time on clinical work; the rest is protected for administrative duties. Youll work closely with other physician leaders and leaders from nursing, operations, and case management to meet high quality standards for patient safety, outcomes, throughput, and utilization. You will report directly to the Vice President of Medical Affairs.

HIGHLIGHTS: $160/Hour for Lead Administrative Work not to exceed $100,000 annual Competitive base compensation of $1,474 per shift for Hospitalist - Minimum of 140 shifts for full-time $25,000 signing bonus $15,000 relocation assistance $5,000 annual CME allowance - Excellent health, dental, vision, and retirement benefits Education: Graduate of an accredited medical school. Successful completion of training in an accredited Internal Medicine residency program. License/Certification: MD or DO licensed by the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified from American Heart Association; Board Certified/Eligible in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Medical Specialties; Must obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges; Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs; Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in hospitals programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
