The G91 Pulmonary/Integrated Care Unit at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus is part of Cleveland Clinic health system's Respiratory Institute. G91 is a 34-bed unit that services higher acuity pulmonary step-down patients. Our nursing staff members are specially trained in the care of the pulmonary patient as well as the general medicine patient. With a patients first mentality, we work within a multidisciplinary team to facilitate the needs of our patients. The staff on G91 are highly engaged and committed to quality outcomes. The unit has an active Shared Governance Committee that works to promote staff satisfaction and address practice issues. A Registered Nurse in this role is familiar with complex medical histories, innovative surgical procedures, pain modalities, and comprehensive nutritional support. Your primary duties will include: -Providing direct nursing care. -Monitoring, recording, and communicating patients' conditions as appropriate. -Preparing patient care plans. -Administering prescribed medications. -Performing bedside hand-off reports and thorough bedside daily rounds. Responsibilities:
- Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
- Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
- Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
- Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- Maintains professional growth and development through ongoing formal and informal education and clinical nursing study.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- BSN preferred.
