Duties: Evaluation, treatment, and disposition of patients presenting with emergent conditions.
Setting: Rural Level II Trauma Center Emergency Department with around 45,000 in annual volume. The only Level II trauma center in the SW region of the state.
Requirements
Board Certified Emergency Medicine Active AR License - highly preferred
will consider candidates that need to obtain
Emergency Medicine Residency
Active ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP & DEA
Clean Malpractice/background - highly preferred
Availability stated at time of name clear
Covid Vaccination
Required Procedures: Laceration repair, abscess I/D, thoracostomy, thoracotomy, trauma management, lumbar puncture, code management, EKG interpretation, intubation and airway management, uncomplicated ortho reductions, central venous access, ACLS, moderate sedation, uncomplicated epistaxis management, and other procedures common to the practice of emergency medicine. Hospitalists do admissions.
Support Staff
12 hours of APP coverage. Neurosurgery, neurology, gastroenterology, nephrology, urology, cardiology, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, ENT, OMFS, OB?GYN, pulmonology/critical care.
