The Oncology Account Manager (OAM) is an integral part of the commercial team that includes all personnel dedicated to the sales and marketing functions. The Oncology Account Manager will implement Jazz Pharmaceuticals' marketing strategies and marketing tactics to achieve short-term and long-term objectives. This position reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager.

The Oncology Account Manager will: Be responsible for the effective promotion of Jazz Pharmaceuticals Adult Oncology products to physicians and other health care providers within the designated area.Targeted customers may be in both Community Oncology as well as Academic Centers.Current disease areas of focus are Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) and Small Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC)Educate physicians and other health care professionals about Jazz Pharmaceuticals product(s), providing the most current information about the approved indications for the company's productsAchieve sales forecasts and targetsParticipate in organizing and facilitating meetings for the exchange of medical and product information in line with the company's policies, regulatory and legal requirementsRepresent company at trade shows, attend company meetings, training programs and functions as neededAnalyze the OAM's designated territory to understand prescribing and purchasing decision processes and any marked differences from national trendsWork closely with Technical Staff to maintain referral base and to increase product revenueRecognize changes in the work environment develop and implement alternate plans to achieve objectives, modify call plan/business plan activities accordinglyIdentify key physicians, health care providers and organizations within assigned territoryPrepare a business plan and area tactical plan for the OAM's assigned territoryImplement approved plans within established time lineEstablish and maintain strong relationships with physicians and other health care professionals identified in business plansSupport company sales strategy and contribute in fostering a team environmentPresent a positive and professional image of Jazz Pharmaceuticals, and ensure activities are consistent with and enhance the company's ethical pharmaceutical marketing policies and proceduresSpecial projects as assignedComply with all legal/regulatory guidelines of the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, the Prescription Drug Marketing Act, the Pharma Code, OIG guidelines, and all other applicable federal and state regulationsPerform all activities within allocated budget Required ExperienceFour-year college/university degree or equivalent experienceExperience selling in Oncology preferredStrong knowledge of product(s); competitor product(s); and applicable disease states desiredExcellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills, and strong planning and organizational skillsSelf-motivation and ability to excel in a team environmentAbility to travel to meet territorial requirementsPreferred ExperiencePost-graduate business school study, training5 years pharmaceutical specialty sales experience or 3 years of straight Oncology sales experience requiredHematology and/or Solid tumor sales experienceExperience with AML or Lung Cancer highly preferredCommunity Oncology practice experienceKey Account knowledge is strongly preferredDescription of Physical DemandsFrequent travel between meeting sites.

FOR US-BASED CANDIDATES ONLYJazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive. For this role, the full and complete base pay range is $128,000-$192,000.

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, and other pertinent factors. The goal is to ensure fair and competitive compensation aligned with the candidate's expertise and contributions, within the established pay framework and our Total Compensation philosophy. Internal equity considerations will also influence individual base pay decisions.

This range will be reviewed on a regular basis. At Jazz, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz's Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.
