Summit Home Care and Hospice is searching for an experienced and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team!

What we offer:

Job Type: Full-time

Standard shift: Day shift, M-F

Salary Range: $50,000-80,000k (based on hourly rate and clinician's capacity for caseload volume.)

Job Locations: Cincinnati, Delhi, Norwood and Anderson, OH

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will operate under the supervision of the Clinical Management Team while providing direct care to patients.

EDUCATION - The minimum level of education desired for candidates in this position is an Associate degree, and a PTA License.

Responsibilities:

Administer various physical modalities, such as soft tissue massage, electrical muscle stimulation and ultrasounds, to help relieve pain, improve circulation and decrease swelling in the muscles.
Collaborate with other team personnel to achieve well-rounded care
Develop and implement physical therapy programs that focus on rehabilitation
Evaluate effects of therapy treatment and communicate patients' progress
Observe and reassess a patient's progress so they can modify the plan of care as needed. Also share this information with the PT in case adjustments need to be made.
Ensure that their patients receive personalized care
Provide training for using assistive devices, such as crutches, canes, or prosthetics.
Record and document patient care services
Recording a patient's progress also helps the PTA know which aspects of the treatment are working, which will help determine the best path forward.
Work directly with patients on therapeutic exercises designed to help regain full mobility, strengthen their muscles, and improve coordination.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
1. Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program with either an Associate's degree in science or applied science that is approved by American Physical Therapy Association, Inc.
2. Current certification or license as required by state law.
3. Demonstrates good verbal and written communication and organization skills.
